Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of combination of swallowing training and surface electromyography biofeedback(sEMGBF)in the treatment of dysphagia after stroke. Methods A total of 76 patients with dysphagia after stroke in Jiaozuo Second People's Hospital from January 2022 to June 2023 were selected as the observation subjects, and they were divided into observation group(38 cases, received swallowing training combined with sEMGBF treatment)and control group(38 cases, received swallowing training treatment)by means of random number table method, and both groups were treated for 1 month. The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared, and the swallowing function[videofluoroscopic swallowing study(VFSS)],hyoid laryngeal complex activities and nutritional indicators[serum total protein(TP),albumin(ALB),prealbumin(PA)]were observed in the two groups before treatment and after 1 month of treatment. The incidence rates of complications of the two groups were statistically analyzed during 1 month of treatment. Results After 1 month of treatment, the total clinical effective rate of 95.06%in observation group, which was higher than 85.19%in control group(P<0.05).The VFSS score, levels of serum TP,ALB and PA and upward and forward distances of hyoid bone and thyroid cartilag in both groups of patients were increased compared with those before treatment, and the swallowing function, hyoid laryngeal complex activities and nutritional indicators were higher in the observation group. The total incidence rate of complications in observation group was lower compared with that in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Swallowing training combined with sEMGBF can enhance the clinical efficacy and improve the swallowing function, nutritional status and muscle strength of hyoid muscle group in the treatment of dysphagia after stroke, and it has few complications.
