Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR)and endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)in the treatment of benign digestive tract polyp. Methods A total of 80 patients with benign digestive tract polyps in the Third People's Hospital of Henan Province from June 2023 to June 2024 were selected and randomly divided into EMR group(treated with EMR)and ESD group(treated with ESD),40 cases in each group. The operation condition, visual analogue scale(VAS)score, inflammatory factors[serum C-reactive protein(CRP),interleukin-6(IL-6),intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)]and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time in the ESD group was longer than that in the EMR group, and the number of hemostatic clips in the ESD group was more than that in the EMR group, and the intraoperative blood loss and hospitalization days were less than those in the EMR group(P<0.05).The VAS scores of ESD group were lower than those of EMR group at 6,24 and 72 h after operation(P<0.05).The levels of serum CRP,IL-6 and ICAM-1 in ESD group were lower than those in EMR group at 24 h and 72 h after operation(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion EMR treatment of benign digestive tract polyps has a short operation time and a small number of hemostatic clips.ESD treatment of benign digestive tract polyps can reduce bleeding, relieve pain and inflammatory response, and promote the outcome of the disease. Both of them have good safety.
