Abstract:Objective To analyze the predictive value of echocardiography parameters combined with serum tumor necrosis factor alpha stimulated gene 6(TSG-6)for poor prognosis in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods A prospective study design was used in this study.A total of 80 CHF patients treated in Henan Provincial Chest Hospital from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected as case group. At the same time,80 people who underwent physical examination in the same period in the hospital were selected as the control group. At admission, echocardiography and serum TSG-6 levels were examined in both groups.Subsequently, echocardiographic parameters, including left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVEDD)and left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD),and serum TSG-6 levels were compared between the two groups. In addition, the association between echocardiographic parameters and serum TG-6 levels was studied in CHF patients with different prognostic conditions. Results The LVEF of the case group was lower than that of the control group, while the levels of LVEDD,LVESD,and TSG-6 were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The cardiac function grading,LVEDD,LVESD,and TSG-6 levels in the poor prognosis group were higher than those in the good prognosis group, while LVEF was lower than those in the good prognosis group(P<0.05).The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve,AUC of LVEF,LVEDD,LVESD,and TSG-6 levels alone for predicting the prognosis of CHF patients were all greater than 0.7,and the AUC of joint prediction was greater than 0.8,indicating a higher value of joint prediction. Conclusion The LVEF level of CHF patients shows a decreasing trend, while LVEDD,LVESD,and TSG-6 levels show an increasing trend. The changes in these indicators can effectively predict the risk of poor prognosis in CHF patients.
