Status Quo and Influencing Factors of Family Resilience in Children with Diabetes

Abstract：Objective To investigate the family resilience of children with diabetes and analyze its influencing factors.Methods A total of 143 parents of children with diabetes were selected as subjects by convenience sampling method.Questionnaire was used to collect general information,parents' coping style scores and Chinese version of event related rumination scores.The family tenacity scores(total 80 points)were surved,multiple linear regression was used to explore the influencing factors on family tenacity scores,and a restricted cubic spline was applied to explore the potential dose-response relationship among coping style scores,event related rumination scores,and family resilience scores.Results The average family tenacity score of children with diabetes was 58 points.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the higher the family monthly income,the younger the children with diabetes.Family with diabetes history would scores higher in coping style.The low score of event related ruminant meditation was independent factors for the increase of family tenacity score.The curve fitting showed that there was a significant dose-response relationship between coping style scores and family resilience scores(curve relationship P＜0.001),and the relationship was inconsistent among different ages of children(interaction term P＜0.001).Conclusion The family resilience of children with diabetes is at a medium level.The medical staff formulate and implement intervention plans for the factors affecting family resilience,improve the resilience of families with diabetes,improve their disease awareness and management ability,and promote the recovery of children with diabetes.
