Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of drug-coated balloon(DCB)on the quality of life of patients with premature coronary artery disease(PCAD).Methods A total of 295 patients with premature coronary heart disease who successfully underwent coronary intervention in the Department of Cardiology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2017 to January 2020 were included in the study. They were divided into DCB group(154 cases)and drug-eluting stent(DES)group(141 cases)according to the treatment strategy. The quality of life of patients with PCAD was evaluated with 36-item short form survey(SF-36)and self rating depression scale(SDS)before surgery, and the clinical and surgical baseline data were recorded. After a median of 41 months of clinical follow up,the main adverse cardiovascular events(including target lesion revascularization, myocardial infarction, etc.)in the two groups were recorded. The patients' quality of life was evaluated by outpatient or telephone follow-up 12 months after operation. Results There was no significant difference in the target lesion revascularization and the cumulative incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events between the two groups(P>0.05).In DCB group, the score of SF-36 after operation was higher than that before operation(P<0.001),while the score of SDS was lower than that before operation(P<0.001).In DES group, the scores of SF-36 in 12 months after surgery were higher than those before surgery(P<0.001),except for the scores of mental health and emotional role, which were lower than those before surgery, and the scores of other dimensions were higher than those before surgery(P<0.001),while the scores of SDS were higher than those before surgery(P<0.001).The improvement of most SF-36 items and SDS scale in DCB group before and after interventional therapy was higher than that in DES group(P<0.05).Conclusion DCB therapy can improve the quality of life of patients with premature coronary heart disease in patients with PCAD receiving interventional therapy, and the improvement is more significant than that of DES therapy.
