Abstract:Objective To explore the potential categories of disease identity among patients with inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),and analyze the influencing factors of disease identity categories among IBD patients. Methods A total of 204 IBD patients treated at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from October 2023 to December 2024 were selected as the survey subjects.General information questionnaire, illness identity questionnaire, perceived stigma scale for inflammatory bowel disease(PSS-IBD),inflammatory bowel disease self-efficacy scale(IBD-SES),and Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC)were used to collect general information and disease identity-related data from the patients. The four dimensions of illness identity questionnaire were used as indicator rows for latent class growth model analysis, and clinical data of patients in different latent classes were compared.Logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the influence of latent classes on disease recognition. Results The disease identity of IBD patients can be divided into three potential categories:low identity-high rejection group(32.67%),medium identity group(50.00%),and high identity-fulfillment group(17.33%).Univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in the duration of disease,PSS-IBD,education level,IBD-SES,per capita monthly household income, and CD-RISC scores among the three categories of patients(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that disease duration,PSS-IBD,education level,IBD-SES,household per capita monthly income, and CD-RISC score were potential factors affecting the disease identity of IBD patients(P<0.05).Conclusion There are three potential categories of disease identity in IBD patients, with the highest proportion of moderate identity, followed by low identity-high rejection, and the lowest proportion of high identity-fulfillment.The influencing factors of disease identity level include education, family per capita monthly income, disease duration,stigma,self-efficacy,and psychological resilience.
