Abstract:Objective To observe the clinical effect of sticky bone in lateral window maxillary sinus floor elevation. Methods The clinical and imaging data of patients who underwent sinus lift and simultaneous implant placement using sticky bone were collected at the Department of Oral Implantology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, from January 2019 to June 2022.A total of 57 patients(95 lost teeth)with single or multiple teeth loss in the maxillary posterior region and a residual crestal bone height of ≤4 mm(the height of the remaining bone at the maxillary sinus floor)were included in the study.During operation, maxillary sinus floor elevation was performed, and simultaneously implants were placed. The maxillary sinus mucosal perforation, implant stability quotient(ISQ)and bone mass around the implant were measured by CBCT.Results The rate of maxillary sinus mucosa perforation was 5.26%(3/57).Six months after implantation, the ISQ was higher than 65.The implant retention rate was 100%during the follow-up period. The average values of the sinus floor height before surgery, immediately after surgery,6 months after surgery,6 months after restoration, and 12 months after restoration were(2.61±0.78)mm,(14.35±1.70)mm,(12.77±1.60)mm,(12.35±1.52)mm,and(12.24±1.49)mm,respectively.The bone resorption rate at 12 months was 17.97%.Conclusion The use of sticky bone in maxillary sinus elevation and simultaneous implantation is reliable, with high success rate and definite osteogenic effect.
