Analysis of Project Leader Characteristics of Population of Henan Provincial Medical Science and Technology Research Project

Abstract：Objective To compare the group characteristics of applicants for jointly-constructed project and province-ministry co-constructed project under the Henan Provincial Medical Science and Technology Research Project,and to provide empirical evidence for optimizing the project management strategy of Henan Provincial Medical Science and Technology Research Project and improving the efficiency of resource allocation.Methods Applicants for jointly-constructed projects and province-ministry co-constructed projects from 2018 to 2021 were included.Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 22.0.The differences between the two types of projects were compared by x2 test.Results The applicants for jointly-constructed projects were mainly from university-affiliated hospitals(36.6％),female(53.8％),aged 35-＜45 years(48.9％),with a master's degree(62.4％)and intermediate professional title(49.6％).A high proportion of applicants had no overseas experience or scientific research achievements(90.3％,85.5％).The province-ministry co-constructed projects were mainly dominated by applicants from university-affiliated hospitals(51.7％),male(56.1％),aged 35-＜45 years(36.5％),with a doctoral degree(57.2％)and senior professional title(38.0％).There were statistically significant differences between the two types of projects in terms of unit type,gender,age,educational background,professional title(P＜0.05).Conclusion The characteristics of applicants for jointly-constructed projects and province-ministry co-constructed projects are significantly different,which is related to the project positioning.It is necessary to implement differentiated management strategies to promote the overall improvement of the applicants quality of medical science and technology projects.
