Anesthesia Effect of Remifentanil Combined with Propofol in Children with Severe Dental Caries Surgery

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effect of remazolam combined with propofol in the treatment of severe dental caries in children.Methods A retrospective study was conducted on 148 children with severe dental caries admitted to Henan Children's Hospital from March to August 2023.All patients underwent surgical treatment and were divided into two groups according to anesthesia methods:the control group(73 cases)received intravenous infusion of propofol,and the study group(75 cases)received intravenous infusion of remifentanil combined with propofol.Two groups were compared in terms of propofol dosage,sedative onset time,recovery time,incidence of adverse reactions,pre-anesthesia induction(T0),30 minutes after surgery(T,),postoperative completion(T2),and recovery(T3)hemodynamics(mean arterial pressure,heart rate)and stress response[norepinephrine(NE),cortisol(Cor)].Results The dosage of propofol in the study group was lower than that in the control group,the recovery time was shorter than that in the control group,but the onset time of sedation was longer than that in the control group(P＜0.05).At T0,the mean arterial pressure,heart rate,levels of plasma NE and Cor of the two groups had no significant differences(P＞0.05).At T,,T2,T3,the mean arterial pressure,heart rate,levels of plasma NE and Cor were lower than those of the control group(P＜0.05).The incidence of bradycardia,emergence agitation and hypotension in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Remazolam combined with Propofol in the treatment of severe dental caries in children can reduce the dosage of propofol,relieve stress response,stabilize hemodynamics,reduce the risk of adverse reactions and shorten the time of recovery.
