Abstract:Objective To investigate the incidence of nosocomial infection in hospitalized patients in respiratory department of a hospital and analyze the related influencing factors. Methods A total of 1 250 hospitalized patients in respiratory department of a hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study subjects. The occurrence of nosocomial infection and the distribution of pathogenic strains were understood.Multivariate analysis of nosocomial infection was performed by logistic regression analysis. Results Among all the subjects,81 hospitalized patients developed nosocomial infection, with an incidence of 6.48%,and the infection site was mainly respiratory tract(51 cases).A total of 105 strains were detected by bacterial culture, including 87 gram-negative strains,15 gram-positive strains and 3 fungal strains.Logistic regression analysis showed that chronic diseases(OR=2.261,95%CI:1.388-3.684),long-term bed rest(OR=4.212,95%CI:1.634-10.856),antibiotic use ≥3(OR=1.958,95%CI:1.133-3.383)and hospitalization time ≥10 days(OR=1.813,95%CI:1.083-3.036)were independent risk factors for nosocomial infection in hospitalized patients of respiratory department(P<0.05).Conclusion The incidence of nosocomial infection in hospitalized patients in respiratory department of a hospital was higher, mainly respiratory tract infection, and the pathogenic bacteria group was mostly gram-negative strains. The incidence of nosocomial infection was related to a variety of factors, and chronic disease,long-term bed rest, antibiotic use ≥3 and hospitalization time ≥10 days were the independent risk factors of nosocomial infection.
