Abstract:Objective To explore the affecting factors of posttraumatic growth, and analyze the mediating effects of anxiety and depression on cognitive emotion regulation strategies and posttraumatic growth in breast cancer patients. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 218 patients with breast cancer who were hospitalized in the breast surgery department of a grade three hospital from January to June 2022,posttraumatic growth inventory,self-rating anxiety scale,self-rating depression scale, the Chinese version of cognitive emotion regulation questionnaire and demographic data questionnaire were used to investigate the patients with breast cancer. Results The scores of posttraumatic growth were(62.92±9.68),the scores of PTGI were negatively correlated with the scores of anxiety, depression and negative cognitive emotion regulation strategies(r1=-0.379,r2=-0.376,r3=-0.490,P<0.01),were positively correlated with the scores of positive cognitive emotion regulation strategies(r=0.421,P<0.01).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that depression, whether cancer metastases had occurred, status of children, marital status, family history of cancer, negative and positive cognitive emotion regulation strategies were included in the regression equation, which together explained 50.00%of the total variation of posttraumatic growth.AMOS analysis showed that negative cognitive emotion regulation strategies, depression and anxiety had direct reverse influences on posttraumatic growth(P<0.01),while positive cognitive emotion regulation strategies had direct positive influences on posttraumatic growth(P<0.001).Bootstrap analysis showed that, the mediating effects of anxiety and depression on posttraumatic growth and cognitive emotion regulation strategies were significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Anxiety and depression play a partial mediating role between cognitive emotion regulation strategies and posttraumatic growth.
