Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of central artery, axillary artery, and femoral artery catheterization in type A aortic dissection(TAAD)surgery. Methods A total of 634 patients undergoing TAAD surgery from January to December of 2023 were included and divided into axillary artery group(172 cases),femoral artery group(124 cases),and central artery group(338 cases)according to the intubation method. The preoperative baseline data, intraoperative parameters(extracorporeal circulation time, aortic occlusion time, surgery time),and postoperative outcomes(neurological complications, renal failure, mortality rate)were compared among the three groups. Results There were no differences in preoperative baseline data, postoperative neurological complications, renal failure, and mortality rate among the three groups(P>0.05).The extracorporeal circulation time, aortic occlusion time, and surgical time in the central artery group were shorter than those in the axillary artery group and femoral artery group(P<0.05).Conclusion All three intubation methods are feasible in TAAD surgery, and central artery catheterization can shorten the critical time during surgery and reduce the incidence of adverse outcomes.
