Abstract:Objective To explore the aesthetic effect of composite resin filling combined with transparent preformed crown in the restoration of large-area deciduous anterior teeth caries and its effects on the levels of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in gingival crevicular fluid. Methods A total of 68 children with extensive caries in deciduous anterior teeth admitted to the Affiliated Children's Hospital of Zhengzhou University were divided into a control(C)group and a study(S)group using a random number table method, with 34 cases in each group.Group C children were treated with composite resin filling surgery, while group S children were treated with transparent preformed crown combined with composite resin filling surgery.Followed up for 12 months after restoration, the aesthetic restoration indicators, tooth aesthetics and function, and family satisfaction between the two groups of patients were compared. The levels of hs-CRP and TNF-α in gingival crevicular fluid of two groups of children before and one month after repair were obsevated and compared. Results Compared with group C,the success rate of aesthetic restoration indicators such as edge fit, edge coloring, and restoration integrity,as well as the scores of tooth aesthetics, chewing, and language function were significantly increased in group S(P<0.05).One month after repair, the levels of hs-CRP and TNF-α in gingival crevicular fluid of two groups of children were significantly higher than before repair(P<0.05),but the group S was lower than the group C(P<0.05).The satisfaction levels of surface morphology, texture, overall contour, and color among the family members of patients in group S were higher than those in group C(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of composite resin filling and transparent preformed crown has a good aesthetic restoration effect in children with large area anterior teeth caries, which can reduce trauma to periodontal tissue and improve the satisfaction of the patient's family members.
