Mood State and Its Correlation with Self-efficacy and Examination Knowledge in Elderly Patients Undergoing Coronary Artery CT Angiography for the First Time

Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between mood status,self-efficacy and examination knowledge in elderly patients undergoing coronary CT angiography for the first time.Methods A total of 218 elderly patients who were admitted to a grade-A general hospital in Zhengzhou were selected by convenience sampling method.The patients were investigated by self-made patient general situation questionnaire,simplified mood scale,self-efficacy scale,self-made coronary CT angiography basic knowledge questionnaire.Results The total score of mood state of patients was(62.20±8.62),among which the scores of depression and anxiety were higher,and the patients had more negative emotions.The mood of patients was negatively correlated with self-efficacy and examination knowledge.Multiple linear regression analysis showed that patients' self-efficacy,examination knowledge and residence status were the main influencing factors of patients' mood state,which could explain 73%of the variation of patients' mood state.Conclusion The elderly patients who underwent coronary CT angiography for the first time had severe negative mood state,and the medical staff could combine the influencing factors and take targeted intervention measures to reduce the level of negative mood in the patients.
