Effect of Digital Non-bracket Invisible Correction and Fixed Correction Technology in the Treatment of Periodontal Disease with Malocclusion

Abstract：Objective To explore the application effect of digital bracket invisible correction and fixed correction technology in patients with periodontal disease and malocclusion.Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 98 patients with periodontal disease and malocclusion who were admitted to Zhengzhou Yihe Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022.The patients were divided into a fixed correction group(45 cases)and a invisible correction group(53 cases)according to different treatment methods.The patient data was reviewed,and the clinical relevant indicators of the two groups were recorded.The periodontal index and inflammation level before and after treatment were also recorded.Results Compared with the fixed correction group,the invisible correction group had shorter correction time,inclined tooth alignment time,and twisted tooth conversion time(P＜0.05).After treatment,the gingival index(GI),sulcus bleeding index(SBI),sulcus probing depth(SPD),and plaque index(PLI)of both groups increased,but those of the invisible correction group were lower than those of the fixed correction group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and interleukin-1 β(IL-1β)in both groups increased,but those in the invisible correction group were lower than those in the fixed correction group(P＞0.05).Conclusion For patients with periodontal disease accompanied by malocclusion,the use of digital non-bracket invisible correction technology is more effective than fixed correction technology,which can shorten the correction time and better improve the patient's periodontal health.
