Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of pre-hospitalization management under the guidance of evidence-based medicine on patients undergoing ophthalmic day surgery. Methods A total of 62 patients who underwent day surgery in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January to March 2024 were randomly divided into two groups. The control group was given routine pre-hospitalization management, and the observation group was given pre-hospitalization management under the guidance of evidence-based medicine. The waiting time for surgery, qualified rate of surgery appointment, health knowledge scores and state-trait anxiety inventory-12(STAI-12)scores were compared between the two groups. Results The waiting time for surgery in the observation group was shorter, while the qualified rate of surgery appointment was higher(P<0.05).After the intervention, the health knowledge scores of the two groups increased, while the STAI-12 scores decreased, and the health knowledge score of the observation group was higher, while the STAI-12 score was lower(P<0.05).Conclusion The pre-hospitalization management under the guidance of evidence-based medicine can effectively improve the health knowledge level of patients with ophthalmic day surgery, and can relieve their anxiety, shorten the waiting time for surgery, and improve the success rate of surgery appointment.
