CT Features and Serum Levels of Fib,D-D,PLT,and INR in Patients with Progressive Hemorrhagic Injury After Traumatic Brain Injury

Abstract：Objective To investigate the computed tomography(CT)features and the levels and significance of serum fibrinogen(Fib),D-dimer(D-D),platelet count(PLT),and international normalized ratio(INR)in patients with progressive hemorrhagic injury after traumatic brain injury.Methods A total of 182 patients with traumatic brain injury treated in the Third Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University from January 2021 to June 2023 were selected.The occurrence of progressive hemorrhagic injury was observed.The differences in clinical data,CT features,and serum levels of Fib,D-D,PLT,and INR were compared between patients with and without progressive hemorrhagic injury.Results Progressive hemorrhagic injury occurred in 64 patients,with an incidence rate of 35.16％.The Glasgow coma scale(GCS)score and the levels of Fib and PLT in patients with progressive hemorrhagic injury were lower than those in patients without progressive hemorrhagic injury(P＜0.05).The proportions of patients with the CT features of skull fracture,midline shift＞5 mm,and obscuration of basal cisterns,the levels of serum INR and D-D in the progressive hemorrhagic injury group were higher than those in the group without progressive hemorrhagic injury(P＜0.05).Conclusion The main CT features of progressive hemorrhagic injury after traumatic brain injury include skull fracture,midline shift＞5 mm,and obscuration or disappearance of basal cisterns.These are accompanied by increased serum INR and D-D levels,and decreased PLT and Fib levels.These indicators have certain application value in predicting the occurrence of progressive hemorrhagic injury after traumatic brain injury.
