Status and Influencing Factors of Hemodialysis Equipment Alarm Fatigue Among Hemodialysis Nurses in Henan Province

Abstract：Objective To understand the status of hemodialysis equipment alarm fatigue among hemodialysis nurses in Henan Province and explore its related factors.Methods A total of 177 hemodialysis nurses from 13 tertiary hospitals in Henan Province were investigated by using general data questionnaire,medical equipment alarm fatigue questionnaire and stress perception scale.The status quo of hemodialysis equipment alarm fatigue level of hemodialysis nurses was analyzed,and the influencing factors of hemodialysis equipment alarm fatigue and the correlation between alarm fatigue and stress perception were discussed.Results The scores of alarm fatigue and pressure perception were 20.6±6.3 and 29.2±7.4,respectively.Correlation analysis showed that alarm fatigue was positively correlated with pressure perception(r=0.748,P＜0.05).Educational background,professional title,years of hemodialysis work,continuous renal replacement therapy(CRRT)rotation class,training related to medical equipment alarm and pressure perception were the influencing factors of equipment alarm fatigue score of hemodialysis nurses(P＜0.05).Conclusion Hemodialysis nurses in Henan Province have dialysis equipment alarm fatigue,which is positively correlated with pressure perception.The higher the educational background,the longer the working years of hemodialysis,the non-rotation CRRT class,the training related to medical equipment alarm,the lower the stress perception score of hemodialysis nurses,the lower the alarm fatigue score.
