Abstract:Objective To investigate the relationships between the expression of long noncoding RNA(LncRNA)-five' prime to X-inactive specific transcript(FTX)in gastric cancer and its pathological features, near and long term survival. Methods From January 2016 to January 2018,175 patients with gastric cancer in the Second People's Hospital of Henan Province were selected for operation and postoperative routine treatment(radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy or immunotherapy).Real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)was used to detect the relative expression levels of LncRNA-FTX in gastric cancer tissues and adjacent tissues, the relative expression of LncRNA-FTX in gastric cancer tissues of patients with different clinicopathological characteristics were analyzed. The 1-year and 5-year survival rates of gastric cancer patients were analyzed,Cox regression model was used to analyze the factors affecting the survival rate of patients with gastric cancer, and Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was performed. Results Among the 175 patients,6 were lost to follow-up,4 died from non-gastric cancer causes, and 165 were included. The relative expression of LncRNA-FTX in gastric cancer tissues was higher than that in paracancer tissues(P<0.05).The relative expression level of LncRNA-FTX in cancer tissues of patients with tumor-node-metastasis(TNM)stage Ⅲ/Ⅳ was higher than that of patients with stage Ⅰ/Ⅱ(P<0.05),and the relative expression level of LncRNA-FTX in cancer tissues of patients with low/undifferentiated tumors was higher than that of patients with medium/highly differentiated tumors(P<0.05).The 1-year and 5-year survival rates of 165 patients with gastric cancer were 88.48%and 51.52%,respectively.Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that TNM stage Ⅲ,low/undifferentiated tumor and LncRNA-FTX relative expression level in cancer tissues were influential factors for 1-year and 5-year survival rates of gastric cancer patients after surgery(P<0.05),and all the above factors were verified by Kaplan-Meier survival analysis(P<0.05).Conclusion The relative expression level of LncRNA-FTX in cancer tissues of patients with gastric cancer is significantly increased, and the relative expression level of LncRNA-FTX is closely related to TNM stage and tumor differentiation degree of patients with gastric cancer, which is an influential factor for their near and long term survival.
