Influencing Factors of Restless Legs Syndrome in Patients with Chronic Renal Failure Undergoing Maintenance Hemodialysis

Abstract：Objective To explore the influencing factors of restless legs syndrome(RLS)in patients with chronic renal failure(CRF)undergoing maintenance hemodialysis(MHD),and to construct a logistic regression model,so as to provide reference for clinical early screening and prevention and control.Methods A total of 90 patients with CRF-MHD treated in our hospital from January 2021 to January 2023 were retrospectively selected,and they were divided into the occurrence group(41 cases)and the non occurrence group(49 cases)according to whether they were complicated with RLS.The clinical data of the two groups were compared,and the influencing factors of RLS were analyzed by multivariate logistic regression,and the logistic regression model was established.Hosmer-lemeshow verified the goodness of fit of the model,Bootstrap verified the calibration ability of the model,and the decision curve verified the clinical net return of the model.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was used to analyze the predictive efficiency of the model for RLS.Results Dialysis age,primary diabetic nephropathy,serum levels of vitamin B12(VitB12),homocysteine(Hcy),β2-microglobulin(β2-MG),parathyroid hormone(PTH)were independent risk factors for RLS(P＜0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)of logistic regression model for predicting RLS was 0.901(95％CI:0.814-0.936),the sensitivity and specificity were 80.49％and 89.80％,respectively.Hosmer-lemeshow test showed that the calibration of the model was good,Bootstrap showed that the C-index of the model was 0.902,and the decision curve showed that the model had good clinical application value.Conclusion Dialysis age,primary diabetic nephropathy,serum levels of VitB12,Hcy,β2-MG,PTH are independent risk factors for RLS in CRF-MHD patients.A logistic regression model is established based on the above risk factors.The model has a certain predictive value for the occurrence of RLS,and has good calibration,differentiation and clinical benefits.It is helpful to screen high-risk groups and formulate intervention programs to reduce the risk of RLS.
