Abstract:Objective To compare the effects of high-flux hemodialysisand low-flux hemodialysis on calcium-phosphorus metabolism in maintenance hemodialysis patients. Methods In this prospective study,80 maintenance hemodialysis patients treated at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology from July 2021 to December 2023 were randomized into two groups(40 cases each). The high-flux hemodialysis group received high-flux hemodialysis, while the low-flux hemodialysis group received low-flux hemodialysis. After 6 months of treatment, the following parameters were compared between groups:serum phosphorus, serum calcium, renal function indicators[serum creatinine(Scr),blood urea nitrogen(BUN)],hemodynamics[heart rate, systolic blood pressure],nutritional status[modified quantitative subjective global assessment(MQSGA)],and inflammatory factors[interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)]level.Results Before treatment, there was no significant intergroup differences existed in serum phosphorus or calcium levels(P>0.05).Post-treatment,both groups showed reduced serum phosphorus and elevated serum calcium, with high-flux hemodialysis group demonstrating lower phosphorus(P<0.05)and higher calcium(P<0.05)than low-flux hemodialysis group.Baseline Scr and BUN were comparable(P>0.05),after treatment, both decreased significantly, with greater reductions in high-flux hemodialysis group(P<0.05).No baseline differences in systolic pressure or heart rate were observed(P>0.05),both parameters decreased post-treatment,showing lower values in high-flux hemodialysis group(P<0.05).MQSGA scores,IL-6,and TNF-α levels were initially similar(P>0.05),but decreased more substantially in high-flux hemodialysis group after treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with low-flux hemodialysis,high-flux hemodialysis more effectively improves calcium-phosphorus metabolism, reduces inflammatory factors, enhances renal function, stabilizes hemodynamics, and ameliorates nutritional status in maintenance hemodialysis patients.
