Abstract:Objective To investigate the efficacy of apatinib mesylate combined with bevacizumab in the treatment of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)and its effect on T cell subsets and serum tumor markers. Methods A total of 180 NSCLC patients treated in the Department of Oncology at Xinxiang Central Hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the study subjects.Based on the treatment regimen, they were divided into the study group(90 cases)and the control group(90 cases). The control group received bevacizumab treatment, while the study group received apatinib mesylate combined with bevacizumab. The treatment efficacy, disease metastasis rate, and adverse reactions were statistically analyzed, and changes in T cell subsets(CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+)and tumor markers[carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125),carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),neuron-specific enolase(NSE),and cytokeratin 19 fragment antigen 21-1(CYFRA21-1)]before and after treatment were compared. Results The study group achieved a significantly higher disease control rate of 76.67%compared to 58.89%in the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the study cohort demonstrated prolonged median treatment response duration, median progression-free survival, and median overall survival versus the control group, all showing statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Both groups showed increased levels of CD3+,CD4+,and CD4+/CD8+and decreased levels of CD8+,CA125,CEA,NSE,and CYFRA21-1 compared to pre-treatment levels, and the improvement in these indicators was greater in the study group than in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions during treatment and the disease metastasis rate during follow-up were comparable between the two groups, with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion The combination of apatinib mesylate and bevacizumab demonstrates good efficacy in the treatment of NSCLC patients, effectively controlling disease progression, improving immune function, reducing tumor marker levels, and exhibiting favorable safety.
