Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression of serum matrix metalloproteinases 2(MMP2),soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1(sICAM-1),endothelin-1(ET-1)in patients with ruptured intracranial aneurysms and their value for prognostic assessment. Methods A total of 102 patients with ruptured intracranial aneurysms treated at Xinyang People's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2022 as the research group.Another 102 patients with unruptured intracranial aneurysms treated during the same period were selected as the control group. The levels of MMP-2,SICAM-1,and ET-1 were compared between the research group and control group,as well as among different Hunt-Hess grades and different prognosis groups. The predictive efficacy of individual and combined detection of MMP-2,SICAM-1,and ET-1 levels for ruptured intracranial aneurysm-related mortality was studied. Results The levels of MMP-2,SICAM-1,and ET-1 in the research group werehigher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The levels of MMP-2,SICAM-1,and ET-1 in Hunt-Hess grade 1-2 patients were lower than those in Hunt-Hess grade 3-4 patients(P<0.05).The levels of MMP-2,SICAM-1,and ET-1 in the deceased group were higher than those in the survival group(P<0.05).The combined detection of MMP-2,SICAM-1,and ET-1 levels showed significantly higher diagnostic sensitivity for ruptured intracranial aneurysm-related mortality compared to individual detection.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis revealed that the combined detection of MMP-2,SICAM-1,and ET-1 levels had a larger area under the curve for diagnosing ruptured intracranial aneurysm-related mortality than individual detection. Conclusion The expression of serum MMP-2,SICAM-1,and ET-1 in patients with ruptured intracranial aneurysms can serve as important references for prognostic assessment.
