Abstract:Objective To discuss the classification of nursing units in tertiary general hospital to provide a basis for establishing objective, fair and scientific performance appraisal. Methods Using questionnaires, organizing managers to conduct subjective evaluation, applying K-means clustering algorithm, combined with nursing unit operation index data for objective analysis, the nursing unit level was determined. Results The 154 nursing units were divided into 7 levels,of which there were 15 nursing units in the first level,22 nursing units in the second level,59 nursing units in the third level,18 nursing units in the fourth level,18 nursing units in the fifth level,12 six-level nursing units in total, and 10 seven-level nursing units. Conclusion The nursing unit classification according to cluster analysis value and objective data analysis can reflect the differences in the workload and work nature of each nursing unit objectively, comprehensively and fairly.Incorporating the nursing unit levels into the performance appraisal scheme can reflect the nursing performance appraisal distribution principle and provide reference and basis for performance appraisal.
