Abstract:Objective To investigate the expression of miR-92b in esophageal cancer patients and its correlation with clinical prognosis. Methods A prospective study was conducted, selecting 94 patients diagnosed with esophageal cancer after surgical treatment and postoperative pathology from January 2020 to January 2021 as the study subjects. The expression levels of miR-92b in cancer tissues and adjacent tissues were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR.The relationship between miR-92b expression and different tissues was tested by point two column correlation.Patients were followed up for 18 months and divided into a mortality group and a survival group based on their prognostic outcomes. The differences in miR-92b levels in cancer tissues between the two groups were compared, and the relationship between miR-92b expression and patient prognosis was tested using point binary correlation. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was then plotted, and the predictive value of miR-92b on the prognosis of esophageal cancer patients was analyzed using area under curve(AUC).Results The relative expression level of miR-92b in cancer tissue was significantly lower than that in adjacent tissues, with a statistical significant difference(P<0.05).According to the point two column correlation test, there was a negative correlation between the relative expression level of miR-92b and different tissues(r<0,P<0.05).Patients were followed up for 18 months, and out of 94 patients,37 died, with a mortality rate of 39.36%.The relative expression level of miR-92 b in cancer tissue of patients in the mortality group was significantly lower than that of the survival group, with a statistical significant difference(P<0.05).According to the point two column correlation test, there was a negative correlation between the relative expression level of miR-92b and the prognosis of esophageal cancer patients(r<0,P<0.05).ROC showed that miR-92b had a good predictive value for the prognosis of patients with esophageal cancer, and the AUC was 0.884.Conclusion The relative expression level of miR-92b in esophageal cancer patients shows a low level in cancer tissue, and it can effectively predict patient prognosis.
