Psychological Resilience and Influencing Factors in Patients with Trigeminal Neuralgia

Abstract：Objective To explore the psychological resilience level of patients with trigeminal neuralgia and analyze its influencing factors,in order to provide a basis for improving the psychological resilience level of patients with trigeminal neuralgia in clinical practice.Methods A prospective study was conducted on 118 patients with trigeminal neuralgia admitted to Zhumadian Central Hospital from April 2021 to April 2023.The psychological resilience status of patients with trigeminal neuralgia was evaluated using the Conner-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC).Single factor analysis and multivariate logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the risk factors affecting the psychological resilience status of patients with trigeminal neuralgia.Results The psychological resilience of 118 patients with trigeminal neuralgia was at a moderate to lower level,with a CD-RISC score of(55.50±10.24)points.Among them,50 patients(42.37％)had poor psychological resilience.There was a statistical significant difference between the two groups in terms of gender,education level,family residence,marital status,numeric rating scale(NRS)score,Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)score,self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)score,and self-rating depression scale(SDS)score(P＜0.05).After multiple logistic regression analysis,the results showed that gender,education level,family residence,NRS score,and PSQI score were all independent influencing factors for poor psychological resilience in patients with trigeminal neuralgia(P＜0.05).Conclusion The psychological resilience of patients with trigeminal neuralgia is moderate to lower,and there are many influencing factors.Clinical attention should be closely paid to the psychological resilience level of patients in rural areas,women,low education levels,severe pain,and poor sleep quality,and effective psychological intervention measures should be taken to improve their psychological resilience.
