Abstract:Objective To investigate the predictive value of serum bone alkaline phosphatase(BLAP)expression before operation for traumatic arthritis after tibial plateau fracture. Methods A total of 150 patients with tibial plateau fractures who were scheduled to undergo open reduction and internal fixation with steel plates in Puyang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2021 to October 2022 were selected. The general data of the patients were collected before operation and the serum BLAP level was detected. The patients were followed up for 6 months after operation to observe the occurrence of traumatic arthritis after operation, and the patients were divided into the occurrence group and the non-occurrence group according to the occurrence. The general data and preoperative serum BLAP levels of the two groups were compared. The relationship between preoperative serum BLAP level and the occurrence of traumatic arthritis after tibial plateau fracture was analyzed by point two column correlation. The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to evaluate the predictive value of preoperative serum BLAP expression level for the occurrence of traumatic arthritis after tibial plateau fracture. Results After a follow-up of 6 months,a total of 31 out of 150 patients developed traumatic arthritis, accounting for 20.67%,and were included in the occurrence group. The remaining 119 patients were included in the non occurrence group. The preoperative serum BLAP level in the occurrence group[(27.03±7.64)U·L-1]was higher than that in the non occurrence group[(21.26±4.37)U·L-1](P<0.05).Point two column correlation analysis showed a positive correlation between preoperative serum BLAP levels and postoperative traumatic arthritis in tibial plateau fractures(r=0.412,P<0.05).The Receiver operating characteristic showed that the area under the curve(AUC)value of the preoperative serum BLAP expression level predicting the occurrence of traumatic arthritis after tibial plateau fracture surgery was 0.738,which had certain predictive value. Conclusion The preoperative serum BLAP expression level can provide predictive value for the occurrence of traumatic arthritis after tibial plateau fracture surgery.
