Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical application effect of xenogenic(porcine)acellular dermal matrix dressing in wound repair of patients with burn(incision)scabs. Methods A total of 40 patients undergoing elective burn(incision)scabs excision in Burn and Plastic Surgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology were enrolled between January 2021 and January 2023.To reduce effects of individual differences on wound healing as much as possible, wounds with the same size and sites were covered with porcine acellular dermal matrix dressing and vaseline gauze after scab excision, and they were also covered with autologous skin graft and microskin. The ecological tissues should be preserved as much as possible during scab excision for wound healing. The control group was treated with Vaseline gauze, while experimental group was treated with porcine acellular dermal matrix dressing. The wound healing, wound pain and scar hyperplasia were compared between the two groups. Results The wound healing time in experimental group was shorter than that in control group[(15.2±3.3)d vs(20.6±1.2)d],and the difference was statistically significant(t=9.726,P<0.05).On the 5th and 12th day after surgery, scores of wound pain in experimental groups were(2.0±0.5)points and(0.8±0.3)points,lower than those in control group[(9.0±1.5)points,(4.2±0.8)points],and the differences were statistically significant(t=28.000,25.168,P<0.05).At 6 months after surgery, score of scar hyperplasia in experimental group was lower than that in control group[(2.1±0.5)points vs(7.3±0.8)points],and the difference was statistically significant(t=34.861,P<0.05).Conclusion The application effect of xenogenic(porcine)acellular dermal matrix is significant in repair of burn scab wound, which is not only beneficial to relieve postoperative dressing pain and promote fast wound healing, but also can reduce scar hyperplasia.
