Current Status and Influencing Factors of Disease Benefit Among Newly Diagnosed Pulmonary Tuberculosis Patients

Abstract:Objective To explore the current status and influencing factors of disease benefit among newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis patients.Methods The patients with pulmonary tuberculosis who first visited General Hospital of Pingmei Shenma Medical Group from August 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the study objects by convenience sampling method,and the general information and disease benefit perception were investigated.Multiple linear regression analysis was performed to analyze the factors influencing the perception of disease benefit in newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis patients.Results(1)The scores of disease benefit scale,total social support scale and self-efficacy scale of 205 newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis patients were(40.72±7.15),(27.80±6.49)and(14.67±1.24)points,respectively.(2)Univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in perceived benefit scores among newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis patients of different ages and education levels(P<0.05).(3)Multiple linear regression analysis shows:social support(B=0.385,95%CI:0.139-0.419),self-efficacy(B=0.246,95%CI:0.077-0.319),age(B=0.342,95%CI:0.184-0.325),education level(B=0.356,95%CI:0.172-0.461)were important factors affecting the perception of disease benefit in newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis patients.Conclusion The sense of benefit of newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis patients is at a low level and needs further improvement.Medical staff should focus on the positive changes perceived by patients and combine them with influencing factors to implement personalized interventions,in order to improve patients' sense of disease benefit and promote their physical and mental health.
