Abstract:Objective To explore the chain mediating effect of psychological capital and job embeddedness between self-worth and silent behavior in operating room nurses. Methods A total of 412 operating room nurses were investigated by self-esteem questionnaire(SEQ),nurse organizational silence assessment questionnaire(NOSAQ),psychological capital questionnaire-24(PCQ-24)and job embedding scale(JES).SPSS macro program PROCESS and Bootstrap method were used to explore the role of mediation. Results NOSAQ was negatively correlated with SEQ,PCQ-24 and JES scores(r=-0.590,-0.549,-0.586,P<0.001).Psychological capital and job embeddedness played a chain mediating role between self-worth and silent behavior(95%CI:-0.12--0.04),and the mediating effect accounted for 13.56%of the total effect. Conclusion Self-worth can predict the silent behavior of operating room nurses through the mediating effect of psychological capital and job embeddedness and can also predict the silent behavior through the chain mediating effect of psychological capital and job embeddedness.
