Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of enhanced external counter pulsation(EECP)on sleep and cardiac function in patients with unstable angina(UA)pectoris complicated by obesity. Methods A total of 160 patients with unstable angina complicated with obesity admitted to the Department of Cardiology in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from September 2022 to September 2023 were selected and divided into control group(80 cases)and EECP group(80 cases)according to random number table method.Patients in both groups were given conventional drug treatment and nursing. The intervention group was combined with EECP on the basis of conventional drug treatment and nursing. The sleep apnea hypopnea index(AHI),daytime sleepiness, sleep efficiency, cardiac index(CI)and systemic vascular peripheral resistance(SRV)of the two groups were compared by repeated analysis of measurement variance before intervention, after intervention and 3 months after intervention. Results Compared with control group,AHI,daytime sleepiness, sleep efficiency,CI,SRV were improved in EECP group after 1 course of EECP treatment(P<0.05).Daytime sleepiness, sleep efficiency,CI and SRV were improved 3 months after EECP treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion Enhanced extracorporeal counterpulsation can improve sleep and cardiac function in obese patients with unstable angina pectoris, and the curative effect can last for 3 month.
