Correlation Between Perceived Management Care and Job Embeddedness of Pediatric Nurses

Abstract：Objective To investigate the status quo of pediatric nurses'the perceived management care and job embeddedness,and to analyze the correlation between.Methods From December 2022 to January 2023,a convenience sampling method was used to select 183 pediatric nurses from two tertiary hospitals in Zhengzhou as the research subjects.A cross-sectional survey was conducted by using a general information questionnaire,job embeddedness scale,and management care assessment scale.Pearson correlation analysis was used to test the correlation between pediatric nurses'perceived management care level and job embeddedness,and multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of pediatric nurses'job embeddedness.Results The total score of pediatric nurses'perceived management care was(119.00±11.33)points,and the total score of job embeddedness was(24.91±3.49)points.Perceived management care and its dimensions were positively correlated with job embeddedness(r=0.617,P＜0.001).Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that marital status,age,average number of night shifts per month,and perceived management care were influencing factors of pediatric nurses'job embeddedness,explaining 50.9％of the total variation.Conclusion The perceived level of pediatric nurses'perceived management care and job embeddedness was moderate,and there was a positive correlation between them.Marital status,age,average number of night shifts per month,and perceived management care were influencing factors of pediatric nurses'job embeddedness.Nursing managers should take targeted intervention measures to increase the job embedding level of pediatric nurses,reduce the turnover rate,and promote the long-term and healthy development of the nursing team.
