Abstract:Objective To compare the effect of different nutritional treatment schemes in patients with nasogastric tube diet after craniotomy for severe-brain-injury(SBI).Methods A retrospective study was conducted to collect the data of 40 patients who received nasogastric tube diet after SBI craniotomy in Zhengzhou Yihe Hospital from February 2020 to July 2021,and were included in the control group. The data of 40 patients who received nasogastric tube diet after SBI craniotomy supported by Lishikang short peptide enteral nutrition(EN)from August 2021 to December 2022 were collected and included in the observation group. Both groups of patients were treated for 15 days, and the patient's medical records, treatment related data, and treatment outcome related data were all kept intact. The nutritional status[prealbumin(PAB),albumin(ALB)and hemoglobin(Hb)levels]of patients before and after treatment were recorded. The time of reaching the target nutrition, the time of staying in ICU and the total time of hospitalization were recorded. The occurrence of related complications during nutritional therapy was recorded. Results Before treatment, there was no difference in the levels of various nutritional indicators between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of PAB,ALB,and Hb in the two groups of patients increased, and the observation group was higher than the control group(P<0.05).The observation group had shorter time to achieve target nutrition, stay in ICU,and total hospitalization than the control group(P<0.05).During the treatment period, the incidence of nutritional treatment related complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Lishikang short peptide enteral nutrition therapy can promote the improvement of nutritional status of patients with nasogastric tube diet after SBI craniotomy, promote the recovery of patients, shorten the hospitalization time, reduce the occurrence of related complications, and has more application value.
