Abstract:Objective To analyze the relationship between serum soluble growth stimulation expressed gene 2 protein(sST2),pro-brain natriuretic peptide(proBNP)levels and the treatment prognosis of dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM)patients. Methods A retrospective study was conducted, selecting 57 DCM patients who received treatment in the Department of Cardiovascular of Zhengzhou Central Hospital affiliated with Zhengzhou University from January 2020 to June 2022 as the research subjects.Data of patients were consulted, serum sST2 and proBNP levels were collected before and after treatment, the prognosis of patients was statistically analyzed one year after treatment, and the relationship between serum sST2 and proBNP levels and prognosis of DCM patients before treatment was analyzed. At the same time, receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to explore the predictive value of serum sST2 and proBNP levels in DCM patients before treatment. Results Twenty-one patients with DCM had poor prognosis, accounting for 36.84%,while 36 patients had good prognosis, accounting for 63.16%.The proportion of age,NYHA heart function grade Ⅱ and Ⅲ in the poor prognosis group was higher than that in the good prognosis group, with statistical significant differences(P<0.05).The serum levels of sST2 and proBNP in the poor prognosis group before treatment were higher than those in the good prognosis group, with statistical significant differences(P<0.05).After conducting a two column correlation analysis,it was found that the levels of serum sST2 and proBNP before treatment were positively correlated with poor prognosis in DCM patients(r>0,P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve(AUC)of predicting poor prognosis in DCM patients based solely on pre-treatment serum sST2 and proBNP levels were 0.710 and 0.779,respectively.The AUC of combined prediction was 0.827,indicating a higher predictive value. Conclusion The levels of serum sST2 and proBNP before treatment are correlated with the prognosis of DCM patients, and can be used as effective predictive indicators for the prognosis of DCM patients in clinical practice.
