Abstract:Objective To compare and analyze the research differences in the field of stroke extended care in the science database of the China national knowledge infrastructure(CNKI)and Web of Science(WOS)from 2012 to 2022.Methods The literature in the field of extended care of stroke collected in CNKI and WOS databases from January 1,2012 to December 31,2022 were selected as the research objects.CiteSpace visualization software was used to analyze the included literature and to determine the development context, research hotspot and research trend of stroke extended care related research at China and abroad, and analyze the differences. Results There were significant differences in research on continuing care for stroke both domestically and internationally. The centrality of domestic researchers is not high, and the main research teams were relatively scattered and not closely connected with each other. Some foreign authors had relatively high centrality, and the research teams were relatively concentrated, but the cooperation between them was also not close enough. There were many domestic institutions that send the academic papers, and the institution that sends the most papers was the School of Nursing and Health of Zhengzhou University, but the cooperation among various institutions was not compact enough. The institution with the highest volume of publications abroad was University of Toronto, with close cooperation among institutions, with Caesar Hospital having a high influence. The research hotspots in China mainly focused on the physiological, psychological, and compliance effects on individuals, especially elderly patients, with a tendency towards intervention outcomes.Foreign research focused more on the secondary prevention and treatment measures of stroke patients, exploring how to better promote the rehabilitation of stroke patients from the source, with a focus on the process and measures. The forefront of domestic research mainly focused on improving the self-care ability of patients with hemiplegia during recovery through multimedia internet platforms. The forefront of foreign research focused on cutting off the cause from the source to better improve the quality of life of stroke patients and reduce the burden of prognostic care. However, the choice of a platform for continuing stroke care remains traditional. Conclusion The field of stroke extended care is in a stage of rapid development.China should further strengthen research efforts, broaden cooperation areas, focus on relevant research hotspots and frontiers, and draw the essence from foreign research to better promote the development of stroke extended care in China.
