Correlation Between Serum TSGF,β-Klotho,Follicle Suppressin and the Degree of Differentiation and Lymph Node Metastasis in Differentiated Thyroid Cancer

Abstract：Objective To investigate the correlation between serum tumor specific growth factor(TSGF),β-Klotho,follicle suppressin(FS)and the degree of differentiation and lymph node metastasis in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer.Methods A total of 198 patients with differentiated thyroid cancer admitted to Xinzheng Huaxin People's Hospital from February 2022 to February 2023 were selected as the case group,and 206 patients with thyroid nodules admitted during the same time were selected as the control group.The serum levels of TSGF,β-Klotho and FS were compared between the two groups,and the serum levels of TSGF,β-Klotho and FS in patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma and different clinicopathological features were compared.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between serum levels of TSGF,β-Klotho and FS in patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to analyze the diagnostic value of serum TSGF,β-Klotho and FS in differentiated thyroid carcinoma.Results The serum levels of TSGF and FS in the case group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The serum level of β-Klotho was lower in the control group(P＜0.05).The serum levels of TSGF and FS in patients with follicular thyroid carcinoma,poorly differentiated thyroid carcinoma and differentiated thyroid carcinoma with lymph node metastasis were higher than those in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma,moderately/well differentiated thyroid carcinoma and differentiated thyroid carcinoma without lymph node metastasis(P＜0.05).The serum level of β-Klotho was lower than that of the differentiated thyroid carcinoma with papillary thyroid carcinoma,moderately/well differentiated thyroid carcinoma and no lymph node metastasis(P＜0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was a negative correlation between serum level of TSGF and serum level of β-Klotho in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer(r=-0.657,P＜0.05).There was a positive correlation with serum level of FS(r=0.594,P＜0.05).Serum level of β-Klotho was negatively correlated with the serum level of FS(r=-0.712,P＜0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)value of the combined detection of TSGF,β-Klotho and FS in the diagnosis of differentiated thyroid carcinoma was 0.941,which was higher than that of the single detection of TSGF,β-Klotho and FS(0.827,0.843,0.870,P＜0.05).Conclusion The serum levels of TSGF and FS were highly expressed in patients with differentiated thyroid cancer,while the serum level of β-Klotho was low.The three could participate in the differentiation degree and lymph node metastasis process of patients,and the combined detection of the three had higher diagnostic value for differentiated thyroid cancer.
