Clinical Effects of Auricular Point Pressing Bean Combined with Mid-frequency Pulse Electrical Stimulation in Urinary Retention After Stroke

Abstract：Objective To analyze the effect of auricular acupoint pressing bean and mid-frequency pulse electrical stimulation in the treatment of urinary retention after stroke(URAS).Methods A total of 62 URAS patients treated in Henan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2021 to May 2022 were randomly selected and divided into control group(conventional treatment and mid-frequency pulse electrical stimulation)and experimental group(conventional treatment,auricular point pressing bean and mid-frequency pulse electrical stimulation)by random number table method.The effects of the two groups were compared.Results The effective rate of experimental group was higher than that of control group,and and complication rate was lower than that of control group(x2=4.292,4.026,P=0.038,0.044).After treatment,the indexes of bladder function(maximum bladder volume,maximum urine flow,residual urine volume,urine output,urine score),quality of life evaluation(physical function,social function,emotional function,vitality,physiological function,psychological function,mental state)and clinical symptom scores(abdominal distention,pain,overflow,frequency of urination,incontinence,dysuria)in experimental group were higher than control group(P＜0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in bladder function scores between the two groups before treatment(P＞0.05).After treatment,the score of experimental group[(15.39±2.14)points]was higher than control group[(9.23±1.14)points](P＜0.05).Conclusion Auricular acupoint pressing bean and mid-frequency pulse electrical stimulation are effective in the treatment of URAS.
