Investigation on Contraindicated Information of Oral Proprietary Chinese Medicines

Abstract：Objective The contraindications of oral Chinese patent medicine instructions were analyzed to provide some references for clinical rational drug use.Methods A total of 217 instructions of oral proprietary Chinese medicines used in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University from January 1,2022 to August 31,2023 were collected.The labeling rates of incompatibility,syndrome contraindications,drug population contraindications and dietary contraindications were calculated,and the contraindications were analyzed.Results The instructions marked with"contraindicated information"accounted for 55.30％(120/217),and among which,48.85％(106/217)of the instructions marked with"drug population contraindicated",which was the highest,the labeling rate of"incompatibility"was the lowest[1.38％(3/217)].The labeling rate of"forbidden,cautiously used,contraindicated or under the guidance of doctors in pregnant women"was the highest[81.13％(86/106)].The labeling rate of"adolescent and menopause should be taken under the guidance of doctors"was the lowest[1.89％(2/106)].Conclusion It is necessary to read the contraindicated information in detail for the rational and safe use of proprietary Chinese medicine.
