Abstract:Objective To explore the impact of intensive follow-up management on the prognosis of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).Methods SLE patients admitted to Henan Provincial People's Hospital from October 2021 to October 2022 were collected. The primary endpoint of the study was the disease improvement of the patients after 12 months of follow-up.The patients were randomly divided into routine follow-up group and intensive follow-up group. The intervention methods of intensive follow-up group were as follows:on the basis of routine follow-up,a follow-up registration form was established to remind patients to return to the hospital on time, regular public education, and strengthen patients'understanding of the disease, drugs and daily care. The differences in systemic lupus erythematosus disease activity index 2000(SLEDAI-2K)score,relapse rate, prednisone dose and incidence of adverse events were analyzed between the two groups during the follow-up period. Results A total of 98 SLE patients were enrolled in this study, including 48 in the routine follow-up group and 50 in the intensive follow-up group. There were no differences in age, gender, disease duration, baseline SLEDAI-2K and medication use between the two groups(P>0.05).After 12 months of follow-up,the number of follow-up visits in the routine follow-up group was lower than the intensive follow-up group(P<0.05).Meanwhile,the SLEDAI-2K score, relapse rate, the dosage of prednisone were lower than those in the routine follow-up group(P<0.05).In addition, although there was no significant difference in the incidence of infection, irregular medication use,self-reduction or withdrawal of medication and new complications between the two groups(P>0.05),the incidence of the above events in the intensive follow-up group was lower than that in the routine follow-up group. Conclusion Intensive follow-up management could improve the disease control of SLE patients, reduce the relapse rate and the dosage of prednisone. In addition, intensive follow-up management could reduce the incidence of infections and self-withdrawal of drugs in SLE patients to a certain extent.
