Abstract:Objective To compare the influence of Focus ultrasonic scalpel and traditional methods in open thyroid surgery. Methods A total of 84 patients with thyroid disease who underwent open thyroid surgery in Xinyang People's Hospital from January 2020 to May 2021 and were followed up until June 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into two groups according to random number table method, with 42 patients in each group.Perioperative indexes, white blood cell count(WBC),C-reactive protein(CRP),blood calcium(Ca2+),parathyroid hormone(PTH),visual analogue scale(VAS)score, postoperative complications and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results Operation time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative drainage volume, incision length, complication rate and total recurrence rate in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The postoperative 24 hours WBC,CRP and VAS scores at 12,24,48 and 72 hours in observation group were lower than those in control group, while Ca2+and PTH were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with the traditional method, the Focus ultrasound knife can shorten the operation time, reduce the incidence of complications, and reduce the impact on parathyroid function.
