Abstract:Objective To evaluate the changes in left ventricular systolic function in end-stage renal disease patients of different dialysis ages using global longitudinal strain and peak strain dispersion parameters. Methods A total of 82 patients who underwent regular hemodialysis at Henan Provincial People's Hospital from January 2019 to December 2022 were selected. They were divided into three groups according to different dialysis time. There were 38 cases in group A(dialysis time<1 year),24 cases in group B(1 year≤dialysis time≤2 years)and 20 cases in group C(2 years<dialysis time<5 years).Thirty healthy people in the same period were selected as normal group. The general clinical data, basic parameters of two-dimensional ultrasound, global longitudinal strain(GLS)and peak strain dispersion(PSD)were compared between the normal group, abnormal group, and abnormal group. Results The GLS and PSD of groups A,B,and C showed statistically significant differences compared to the normal control group, and the absolute value of GLS in group B was higher than that in group A,the PSD value in group C was higher than that in group B(P<0.05).Conclusion Regular hemodialysis can effectively improve left ventricular systolic function to a certain extent, and the GLS combined with PSD parameter is more sensitive in evaluating changes in left ventricular function.
