Abstract:Objective To investigate the status quo of illness perception in patients with gout and to divide the influencing factors. Methods Conveniently selecting 225 patients with primary gout as the research subjects,a cross-sectional survey was conducted using a general information questionnaire,a test version of the gout patient disease perception assessment scale,a gout impact scale, and a simplified Chinese version of the patient positive measure. Results The total score of disease perception among 225 gout patients was(151.87±17.94).The total disease perception score of gout patients was positively correlated with the gout impact scale score(r=0.541,P<0.001),and negatively correlated with the patients'positivity score(r=-0.468,P<0.001).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that education level, course of disease, number of episodes in the past year, concomitant other diseases, presence of gout stones, gout impact scale scores, and patient motivation were the main influencing factors for gout patients'disease perception(P<0.05).Conclusion Gout patients'disease perception is at a moderate level and is influenced by multiple factors.
