A comparative observation on the efficiency of moxifloxacin and levofloxacin in the treatment of elderly drug-resistant tuberculosis

Abstract:Objective To compare the efficiency of moxifloxacin and levofloxacin in the treatment of elderly drug-resistant tuberculosis.Methods Sixty patients who treated drug-resistant tuberculosis in the Sixth People''s Hospital of Zhengzhou from December 2014 to June 2015 were randomly divided into control group and observation group, 30 cases of the control group were used VDL2E methods, 30 cases of the observation group were used MDL2E methods.The sputum negative conversion rate, treatment effect, adverse reactions were compared.Results After treatment of 1,2,4, 8 months of treatment, the sputum negative conversion rate in the observation group were 60.0%, 73.33%, 83.33%, 93.33%, 26.67%, which were significantly higher than the 40.0%, 53.33%, 93.33%in the control group(P<0.05);The total effective rate in the observation group was 90.0%, which was significantly higher than the 50.0%in the control group(P<0.05);The adverse reactions in the observation group after treatment was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Moxifloxacin in the treatment of elderly drug-resistant tuberculosis has a significant effect.It can actively help patient sputum become negative and be lower incidence of adverse reactions.It is worthy of promotion.
