Clinic evaluation of the everStick PERIO splint on stabilizing mobile mandibular anterior teeth

Abstract:Objective To evaluate the clinical effect of everStick PERIO periodontal splints stabilizing mobile mandibular anterior teeth.Methods Seventeen patients with chronic periodontitis whose lower anterior teeth were mobile, and their loosen teeth were fixed with everStick PERIO periodontal splints.Detailed records of Probing Depth (PD), Attachment loss (AL), Plaque Index (PLI) and Bleeding Index (BI) after the Periodontalsplintfixation, after 3, 6, 9 and 12 months of the baseline were kept respectively, and patients satisfaction research was done as well.Then the data were analyzed with statistics method.Results No periodontal splints loosening or fragmentation were observed.The results of the periodontal tests had no significant difference(P>0.05).Patients were satisfied with aesthetics and felt comfortable.Conclusion The short-term clinical effect of using everStick PERIO periodontal splints to fix the loosen lower anterior teeth are prominent.
