Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical significance of squamous cell carcinoma antigen(SCC-Ag) in the diagnosis and treatment of cervical squamous cell carcinoma. Methods The serum SCC-Ag concentrations were measured for 161 patients with cervical carcinoma treated in the Affilicated Tumor Hospital of XinJiang Medical University from July of 2013 to July of 2015.The correlation with their clinical pathological features of cervical carcinoma were analyzed and the changes in the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis were monitored. Results The differences of pretreatment serum SCC-Ag levels were statistically significant in clinical stage, depth of invasion and lymph node metastasis(P<0.05).Conclusion As a relatively specific tumor marker for cervical squamous cell carcinoma, SCC-Ag has important clinical reference values in the diagnosis and prognosis.
