A clinical analysis of 1 500 cases of oral mucosa diseases in Henan Province

Abstract:Objective To explore the characteristics and regularity of the pathogenesis of oral mucosa diseases in Henan Province, in order to provide a reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment.Methods The clinical materials of 1 500 first visit patients with oral mucosa diseases were collected from stomatological hospital of Henan Province.The variety of these diseases, the constituent ratio of gender and mean age were analyzed.Results A total of 21 species oral mucosa diseases were enrolled in this study, of which recurrent aphthous ulcer (38.5%) was located on the top, followed by oral lichen planus (23.1%) and burning mouth syndrome (7.5%).The chief complaints were ulcer (65.7%), pain (15.7%), swelling (10.2%), color changing (5.8%), and others (2.5%).Conclusion Ulcer is the chief complaint of mucosa disease, and the pathogenesis age has some regularity.Correct diagnosis is crucial to the prognosis.
