Abstract:Objective To discuss the clinical experience of laparoscopic treatment of adhesive intestinal obstruction. Methods The clinical data of 69 patients who underwent laparoscopic adhesive intestinal obstruction surgery in the Second Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Luoyang from January of 2011 to June of 2016 were retrospectively analyzed. There were 41 male and 28 female patients, aging from 11 to 82 years older with a mean of (76±9) years older. All patients had the history of abdominal surgery. Results All patients were cured perfectly. The mean blood loss in the operation was 12 ml and the mean hospital stay was 4.2 days. There was no postoperative complication and no recurrence of adhesive intestinal obstruction in the follow-up study. Conclusion Through strict patient selection, laparoscopic treatment of adhesive intestinal obstruction is safe and feasible with acceptable surgical outcomes and cosmetic benefits in the hands of skilled laparoscopic surgeon.Laparoscopic adhesiolysis has the merits of minimal invasion, less injury to the peritoneum, less disturbs to the abdominal cavity and can reduce the chance of post-operation readhesion mostly.
