Application of Changweishu capsule in the treatment of gastric ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori

Abstract：Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of Changweishu capsule combined with triple therapy in the treatment of gastric ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori (Hp).Methods A total of 382 patients diagnosed as gastric ulcer associated with Hp were recruited and followed from the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from 2012 to 2014.The patients was divided into three group: Changweishu group (127 patients), bismuth-containing group (127 patients) and standard triple group (128 patients).Standard triple group: omeprazol, oxicillin and clarithmmycin.Changweishu group: Changweishu capsule and standard triple therapy.Bismuth-containing group: bismuth+standard triple therapy.After treatment, all patients received 13C-urea breath test to detect Hp and gastroscopy.Results The eradication rates of Hp in Changweishu group, bismuth-containing group and standard triple group were as follows: 78.0%(99/127), 86.6%(110/127), 60.9%(78/128).The healing rates of gastric ulcer were as follows: 73.3%(93/127), 80.3%(102/127), 60.9%(78/128).There was no statistical difference in the eradication rates of Hp and the healing rates of gastric ulcer between Changweishu group and bismuth-containing group(P>0.05).The eradication rates of Hp and the healing rates of gastric ulcer of changweishu group were higher than standard triple group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The efficacy of Changweishu capsule and standard triple therapy in the treatment of Hp patients is similar to bismuth and standard triple therapy and superior to standard triple therapy.
