Abstract:Objective To study the influence of IPS e.max lithium diisocyanate cast-ceramic thickness and prolonged illumination on the degree of polymerization of self-adhesive dual-cured resin cement RelyX U200.Methods 50 RelyX U200 resin samples were prepared and randomly divided into 10 groups.Traditional illumination (20 s) and prolonged illumination (40 s), respectively, through the cover glass (control group) and IPS e.max tiles (test group) with thickness of 1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm and 4 mm.The degree of conversion (DC) was calculated by infrared spectroscopy, and the data were analyzed by two-way ANOVA.Results RelyX U200 DC% decreased with the increase of IPS e.max thickness (P<0.001).In the same thickness, the DC% in prolonged light group was higher than that in traditional light group (P<0.001).Conclusion With the increase of the thickness of the cast porcelain, the degree of polymerization of the self-adhesive resin cements decreased significantly, and prolonged illumination was helpful to the promotion.
