Observation on the curative effect of repaglinide combined with insulin glargine in the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes

Abstract：Objective To explore the curative effect of repaglinide combined with insulin glargine in the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes.Methods Sixty patients with type 2 diabetes treated in the First People's Hospital of Shangqiu from July of 2014 to May of 2015 were randomly divided into two groups, 30 cases in each group.The control group was given subcutaneous injection of insulin glargine, and the observation group was treated with repaglinide combined with subcutaneous injection of insulin glargine.The levels of blood glucose and HbA1c, insulin dosage, glycemic control time and beta cell function after treatment were compared between two groups.Results The levels of blood glucose and HbA1c in observation group were significantly improved, better than control group (P<0.05).Compared with control group, the insulin dosage of observation group was less, the glycemic control time was shorter, and pancreatic beta cells function was better(P<0.05).Conclusion Repaglinide combined with insulin glargine was beneficial for prognosis of patients with type 2 diabetes.
